Roger Joyce is added to the register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC)

We celebrate 25 years of building design & conservation!

Association with “Atlante” Architectes, Marcq-En-Baroeul, France

1998

The Grand Shaft Lower Entrance, Dover, is commended for the RIBA Downland Prize for architects

1996

The Practice moves to its current offices at 39 Bouverie Square, Folkestone, Kent

D Irwin RIBA retained as a Consultant to the Practice.

Roger Joyce becomes a part time lecturer at School of Architecture in Lille, Nord/Pas de Calais. Change of Practice name to Roger Joyce Associates

1994

The Chapel Coffee Shop, South Kent College, is short listed for a RIBA award. The Practice wins the National Self-Build Award for its design of a house on New Hall Close, Dymchurch

1992

Roger Joyce gains a Diploma in Building Conservation from the Architectural Association

The Practice is based at Stowting Court Barn. The barn conversion is commended for an RIBA award

Roger Joyce becomes Inspecting Architect at St Martin's Church, Cheriton, Kent - the first of many such appointments

Roger Joyce holds a Diploma in Architecture from the Canterbury School of Architecture and a Diploma in Building Conservation awarded by the Architectural Association (Bedford Square, London) in 1990. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Kent Building Preservation Trust, The Sandgate Society and ICOMOS and is a member of SPAB, IHBC, and EASA.

The Practice cares for several Anglican churches under the Inspection of Churches Measure 1955, two of which are Grade I Listed.

Roger Joyce is fluent in French and has worked on properties in Luxembourg and Southern France. He is also a part time lecturer at the School of Architecture in Lille, Nord/Pas-De-Calais, France.
